The Associates is an organization operated entirely by volunteers-our Board, coaches, team managers and all others who help the teams and the organization as a whole. It is through this dedication that we are able to offer a high quality program for our youth. Through our relationship with the Japanese Cultural and Community Center (JCCCNC), where we staff two bingo sessions each month, we are able to use the JCCCNC’s gym and facilities for our programs.

Specific parent and player commitments include:

  1. Annual membership fee
  2. Members are required to pay for all obligated bingos at the beginning of the season. The bingo payment amount depends upon on how many children are members and which division they are in. Members may request to work bingo and upon completion of the session, will receive back the established payment amount per session. This is a critical responsibility for Associates fundraising and support of our community relationship with the Japanese Cultural and Community Center (JCCCNC).
  3. Solicit or contribute advertisements for the Associates Tournament booklet.
  4. Team duties, including but not limited to scorekeeping, timekeeping, team snacks, hotel arrangements for out-of-town tournaments, tournament applications, end of season team celebration.
  5. Volunteer duties for the Associates tournament, including scorekeeping, timekeeping, set up, clean up, concessions, donated food/money for social, etc.
  6. Participate in team practices.
  7. Participate in League games in San Francisco and within the Bay Area.
  8. Participate in tournaments and jamborees within and outside of the Bay Area, including overnight stays.
  9. Attend end of season Dessert Night celebration.
  10. Support the Associates Goals, and follow the Code of Ethics and Rules of Conduct.
